Yiu Hong Memento Website in Conjunction with 10 Years anniversary 姚拓，原名姚天平，又名姚匡，1922年出生于中国河南巩义市鲁庄。1950年移居香港，曾任《中国学生周报》总编辑、《大学生活》社长与总编辑等职。1957年移居马来西亚，历任《学生周报》、《蕉风月刊》社长、马来西亚友联出版社及马来西亚文化事业有限公司总编辑等职。马来西亚各中学、小学的华文教科书，多由其编撰出版。同时，他也是花踪世界华文文学奖18位终身评委之一。被称为“蕉风之父”。姚拓任《蕉风》社长期间，栽培无数作家、鼓励文学活动。唐林在〈姚拓的蝴蝶梦〉中，称姚拓为“蕉风之父”。1999年，姚拓退休，友联转售出版社，《蕉风》亦随之停刊，但已创下马来西亚最长寿的文学刊物纪录。姚拓1950年起开始文艺创作，出版的小说有《二表哥》、《弯弯的岸壁》、《四个结婚的故事》、《五里凹之花》、《姚拓小说选》；散文集有《美丽的童年》、《墙头上的小红花》、《蛙鸣》；戏剧则有《荆轲刺秦王》、《儿女英雄传》、《憩园》、《万金和尚》等多部。2005年出版回忆录《雪泥鸿爪》。1994年曾
