An aficionado of jazz music, Chona is not only a versatile and unique singer but she is a very prolific song writer and composer. Her song “Narito Lang Ako” won the “highly commended song award” in the 2004 ABS-CBN Himig Handog Song Writing Competition and was included in Vina Morales’ “Mamahalin Ka Nya” record album.
