Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Shannon was blessed to be adopted into a loving, Christian home. Her father, a pastor, wasted little time recognizing Shannon's ability and desire to perform using her voice. Shannon began singing in the church at the age of three and as she grew, so did her ability to develop her voice. Next to her family and her faith, it became evident to Shannon, that performing and telling a story through song, were her deep passions in life.
