The 25th January 2011 Egyptian revolution took place following a popular uprising due to legal and political issues, uncontrollable corruption, unjust elections, high unemployment and low wages, just to name a few of the demands by the Egyptian people. The uprising was mainly a campaign of non-violent civil resistance, including demonstrations, marches and labour strikes.
