The union KSU was founded in 1980's by kenyan students back then during the Soviet Union. The main agenda of the Union was to unite Kenyans in former USSR and to speak out with one voice on various issues they where facing back then. Since then, the union has grown, with obstacles sometimes threatened to its extinction due to the wanning number of students studying in Russia specifically moscow where its headquarters lies given the close vicinity to the Embassy.
