The Government Appointed Historians of Western New York provides outreach to 300+ historians in the eleven counties that make up Western New York State. For over 100 years, New York has been the only state which requires by law that every village, town, city and county have a historian to collect and preserve the history of their community and serve the public. We provide all day learning conferences in the spring and fall to as well as our online listing of historian contact information.
